Start “The Year Of The Dog” On A Pawsitive Note With These Adorable Instagram Doggos

Embrace the wonderful world of Instagram doggos this Lunar New Year.

We’re going to cut to the chase for this one. The Year of the Dog is upon us, and we’re sure you’ve heard the many dog puns (we’re guilty of this too), and have been hounded by the many dog-themed red packets and Lunar New Year songs.

We also know that visiting, though necessary, can be a bit of a drag, but at least we’ll have good ol’ social media to keep us company (p.s. for tips to save data, read here).

So, we’ve shortlisted ten Instagram dogs (celebs, really) from around the world that are so barking cute that they’ll turn any ruff situation into a happy one.

It’s really the leash we could do.

From: Tokyo, Japan

Breed: Shiba Inu

Fun Fact: With 2.6 million followers, Marutaro really makes you wonder what you’re doing with your life. Oh yeah, he’s also been the face of Japan tourism, and there’s a museum dedicated to him.

From: USA

Breed: Bernese Mountain Dog

Fun Fact: Bear really is the size of an actual baby bear, but he’s just 10 months old! With bear-like paws and a big goofy grin, all you’ll want to do is run over and give him a huge hug.

From: Nothern California

Breed: Corgi

Fun Fact: Corgi lovers! We’re sure brothers Ralph and George aren’t strangers to you. Three years ago, they made waves when Buzzfeed released a video of a boyfriend surprising his girlfriend with a visit from these lovable creatures.

These social media celebrity dogs are also putting their fame towards a good cause! They recently produced a 2018 calendar (full of their adorable pictures of course), and all proceeds raised were donated to dog charities.

From: Busan, South Korea

Breed: Pomeranian

Fun Fact: This is an account that keeps on giving, by means of multiple posts a day with great content. P.S. The rounder one’s name is Gom, and that means Bear in Korean. A dog named bear… that’s enough reason to follow, yes?

From: Melbourne, Australia

Breed: Samoyed

Fun Fact: These doggos have forever cheerful faces. If you’re having a bad day, their smiles are sure to brighten it up!
